Refunds & disputes

Everything about giving money back — and preventing disputes in the first place.

Void vs refund

  • Void — the authorization hasn't been captured. Zero cost. Guest never sees a real charge.
  • Refund — the charge was captured. We issue a Stripe refund; the guest sees it within 5–10 business days.

Who can refund

Venue admins and org admins. Super admins can refund on behalf of a venue for support cases.

Guest-initiated refund requests

Guests submit refunds from their receipt page. Venue staff see the request in the DJ dashboard's Refunds tab and can approve or deny with a note.

Preventing disputes

  • Use a clear statement descriptor.
  • Send an emailed receipt on capture.
  • Respond to refund requests within 24 hours.
Heads up
If a guest opens a Stripe dispute, contest it with the receipt and audit trail from the venue dashboard.
