Spotify catalog
Every song search, artwork, and preview comes from the Spotify catalog API.
What we use it for
- Search by title, artist, or lyric snippet.
- Artwork on request rows, Now Playing, and receipts.
- 30-second previews on the guest page and DJ dashboard.
What we don't use it for
VenueTunes does not stream full-length audio to guests or DJs. The playback in the venue is up to the DJ's own hardware (Rekordbox, Serato, streaming service, physical media, etc.).
Note
This distinction matters for licensing: VenueTunes only sells the ability to request a song, not the song itself.
