For DJs
Now playing & mark played
Mark Played is the most important button in the DJ dashboard. Here's exactly what it does.
The Now Playing card
- Artwork — the album art of the current song, animated with a slow spin.
- Requester and dedication — who asked for it, and their note.
- Playback timer — how long the song has been on.
- Mark Played — captures the payment and advances the queue.
What Mark Played does
Tapping Mark Played:
- Sets the request's status to Played.
- Captures the Stripe authorization — the guest is charged.
- Fires a live notification to the guest ("Your song just played!").
- Promotes the next queued request to Playing (unless auto-advance is off).
Heads up
If you mark a song played by mistake, use Requeue from the played history to put it back — the payment stays captured.
Manual play mode
Some venues turn off auto-advance so the DJ manually selects the next Now Playing song. Toggle this in Venue Settings → Playback.
