For DJs
Declining a request
Sometimes a song isn't right for the room. Declining is clean, fair, and always refunded.
How to decline
On any queued row, tap the Decline button. A dialog opens with a reason picker and an optional note.
The reason codes
| Control | What it does | Who | Affects |
|---|---|---|---|
| Not in genre | Song doesn't fit the vibe you locked for tonight. | — | Guest sees the active genres and can pick a matching track. |
| Already played | You (or another DJ) played this recently. | — | Guest is nudged to pick something else. |
| Explicit | Content isn't appropriate for the venue right now. | — | Guest is asked to pick a clean version. |
| Inappropriate | The dedication or the request isn't OK. | — | You can add a private note explaining. |
| Other | Any other reason — free-text note supported. | — | The note is shown to the guest verbatim. |
What happens to the payment
- If the request was authorized only (the normal case), the hold is voided immediately. No charge appears.
- If the request was already captured, we issue a full refund.
Tip
Guests appreciate a short honest reason. It builds trust and reduces repeat asks for the same song.
